THE CAUSE OF PALESTINIAN PEOPLE, AN AFRICAN STRUGGLE

If I were to write about Palestine to-day, I would take you through a very old series of arguments. Enough of that. Just remember that Samora Machel and Yaser Arafat were close friends.

Then there is the South African deposition at the International Court of Justice on the Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people, behind which all of Africa should rally. I know for sure the Palestinian people felt supported and most of the world was in full agreement. I know many Arab countries also were happy. I do not know why (or maybe I do) those Arab countries did not initiate the deposition , and instead, waited for Africa to take the initiative.

Maybe they were busy being trained by Europe in the arts of discrimination and racism. Africans were being rounded up and chased on foot through the desert in Saudi Arabia, a football player from Africa was being hounded up in India for the same racist reasons. Europe was financing Egypt to prevent migration into that continent. Turkey was busy condemning the Isreaeli actions and selling the same Israelis weapons to be used against the Palestinian. Moral decay that shows that the prevailing moral standards of humanity need to be redefined. And Africa is in the most pristine condition to help redefine what is humanity. What is human, what is morally acceptable, what standards should international politics and international relations be guided by, and who determines or says that Africa cannot define those? We just do not take the initiative because we were told openly and by attitudes and behaviours that we are poor and incapable. Are we? We are not. It is a question of intellectual and political leadership.

Africa is still seen as a reserve of manpower and an inventory of natural resources (a warehouse of sorts) for other continents. In other words, we are seen as "sitting ducks over a pot of gold we do not even recognize".

We are still seen as less human than other human beings by virtue of colors. They gloss over the fact (and they exclude this fact from their basic education system) that all human beings came from Africa. In Europe and America, it is only when someone becomes a Professor that they come to know the real origins of humankind. How many can reach professorship to know this? Deliberate.

We are in a struggle for self-affirmation. It will be long, and let no one be fooled: it will be long and bloody. You can ask the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo, or of Rwanda, if you exclude their leaders from the conversation. You can ask the people of Mozambique in Cabo Delgado, displaced so that their land is offered to foreign interests. You can ask the peoples of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger. The struggle to free ourselves from the neocolonial forces will be bloody, vicious, surreptitious and overt, using our own brothers, using the menace of democracy. That is why they are slowly installing their forces in our territories, under the guise of helping to fight a terrorism phenomenon they created. Look at the Sahel and how destroying Lybia was part of a design. Our governors believe in the terrorist discourse and they believe we are not strong enough. Who told them?

With this brief reflection, let me propose to you an analysis of the Palestinian question at the present particular juncture and you will see where the whole Israeli strategy comes from. I invite you to please read The Painfully Obvious Reason Why Palestinians Don’t Condemn Hamas | by Steve QJ | ILLUMINATION-Curated | Apr, 2024 | Medium.
